Google opens caroling channel on YouTube

December 14, 2009 |17:28 | You Tube News  By : Team X

Google is indulging in a little of the Christmas spirit and has opened a caroling channel on YouTube that'll allow the world's finest webcammers to invade your monitor, singing jaunty songs about the most wonderful time of the year.

It's being sponsored by TJ Maxx (which is the US branch of TK Maxx) and Marshalls, which will be donating money to Toys for Tots for every carol that's submitted to the channel. The best caroler who sings one of two original songs will also win a $5,000 gift card.

It's open "through December", says Google, so what are you waiting for? Switch on your webcam, dig out some eggnog, and blast out your best Jingle Bells, Frosty the Snowman or Deck the Halls. Oh, and post a link to your video in the comments so we can all share the joy.
